TF-1 “Ark” is humanity’s last carrier task force, which you will command in Ebbtide, ProjectAlive’s upcoming real-time zombie survival strategy game. The campaign will begin in Los Angeles. The people, troops, equipment, and supplies you bring to the Port of LA will form your starting force aboard the Ark for the world campaign.

The official Steam listing lists Ebbtide as “Coming soon.” The campaign and support systems described below are announced features.

How Los Angeles will shape the Ark’s starting force

The Los Angeles campaign will connect evacuation decisions to your later operations. The city’s 15 districts will deteriorate from Hold to Crisis to Lost, requiring you to choose whom to evacuate first.

Your available actions will include:

  • Ordering National Guard, LAPD, and LA County Sheriff’s units to hold, delay, or withdraw.
  • Calling in Marines from Camp Pendleton.
  • Sending truck and helicopter convoys carrying supplies, troops, or refugees.
  • Extracting units and survivors stranded behind the lines before the horde reaches them.

Getting people and resources to the Port of LA will shape what you carry into the world campaign. Protecting those movements will matter: the Nexus, the hive mind controlling the zombies, is described as ambushing convoys, cutting roads, besieging bases, and hunting stranded units.

You will direct these operations on a real-time map and zoom into the live battlefield without a loading screen. Losses and destruction will persist when you return to the map.

What fire support will the task force provide?

The announced naval support includes carrier F/A-18 strikes, destroyer gunfire, and Tomahawk cruise missiles. Fire support will be available from either the operations map or the battlefield.

That firepower will have limits. Ship magazines will be finite, and heavy weapons will be able to bring down buildings. During the world campaign, you will need to move the carrier group’s guns and aircraft within range of the regions you choose to help.

The broader fire-support roster also includes M777 howitzers, HIMARS rockets, F-15E, F-35B, and A-10 strikes, plus AC-130J gunship and MQ-9 drone orbits. These are listed as available support options; the listing does not assign all of them to the carrier group.

How the Ark’s world campaign will work

After Los Angeles, the announced world campaign will let you choose which regions to help, resupply at friendly ports, and grow the fleet with allied warships. You will also rescue pilots and specialists whom you cannot train.

The task force’s objective will include hunting the Nexus’s hidden command nodes while protecting what remains of the world. Your Los Angeles evacuations will establish the force you begin with, while regional choices, naval positioning, and access to friendly ports will shape its subsequent operations.
