Ebbtide’s reported attack-helicopter lineup includes the Viper and Apache, with a third-party Viper gameplay post describing aircraft command. The practical planning requirements are ammunition, fuel, and access to a base you hold: ProjectAlive says aircraft can rearm and refuel only at those bases, while zombies can cling to helicopters hovering near the ground. These are announced systems for an upcoming game; Ebbtide’s Steam page lists its release as “Coming soon” as of October 23, 2026.

Viper and Apache reports

The available reports give the Viper a more specific gameplay reference than the Apache.

ViperPratama Gaming’s gameplay post identifies Viper attack-helicopter footage and describes commanding the aircraft.
ApacheThe independent Ebbtide Wiki names the Apache alongside the Viper as an aerial combat option.

These reports identify aircraft, but they do not establish a useful performance comparison. Neither supports choosing a “best” helicopter by damage, ammunition capacity, survivability, or cost.

Fuel and ammunition determine sustained air support

ProjectAlive’s official game description places aircraft within the same supply network as soldiers and ground vehicles. Aircraft consume ammunition and fuel, and replenishment requires a base under your control.

That makes base supply part of helicopter planning. The announced forward operating base structures include an ammo depot and a fuel point. Supplies must reach your positions, and the horde can attack convoys and cut roads.

The practical implication is to plan helicopter support around a supplied return point. Holding a base and keeping its supply routes open will matter alongside committing aircraft to a fight.

Low hovering exposes helicopters to the horde

The official description explicitly says zombies can cling to helicopters hovering close to the ground. Helicopters therefore have a ground-proximity hazard even while airborne.

For planning purposes, treat low hovering near a horde as an exposure risk. The description does not provide a safe altitude or a timing threshold, so it does not support a precise maneuver or an altitude-based rule.

Helicopter transport is also part of Ebbtide’s announced operations: aircraft convoys can move supplies, troops, and refugees, while helicopter slings can deliver building materials. Those transport functions should be assigned to the aircraft described for those jobs; the Viper and Apache reports establish combat roles, not cargo or evacuation capability.
